The wide dynamics of the Dolby Atmos track virtually puts you in the middle of everything happening onscreen and changes with each subsequent moment never sounding fake, unpolished or generic. The quieter sequences all have the necessary reverb in large spacial environments with an abundance of ambient noises of nature and animal noises, and more. As stated prior the above audio score and related critique of how things sound down below are based solely upon my viewings against a cumulative average curve of the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray presentations of HBO’s Game of Thrones: The Complete Collection.

The 9 cases (the additional one is for the three Blu-rays contain additional bonus material) and episode guide booklet fit neatly into the primary keep case which comes with a matching slipcover. I appreciate the fact that the sound designers didn't go overboard with the freedom of object versus channel-based mixing.It’s a restrained grade, but one that makes the colors richer and more nuanced, while deepening the shadows and adding a more natural luminance to the highlights. All seventy-three episodes are included on thirty 4K Ultra HD discs, which actually do include significant special features too. Just an FYI the redemption code paperwork for the digital copies of the complete series was found within my Season 1 case.

Black levels are definitive and inky with some great detail revealed even in the darkest of scenes without any murkiness or crush.

There’s a shot of Tyrion in the Season Six episode The Battle of the Bastards where the fine gold embroidery on his tunic is exquisitely detailed. Dialogue is clear and clean, and Ramin Djawadi’s iconic theme and lush compositions have fine clarity and fidelity.
