Combimate does not use magnets or any electricity in its anti limescaleoperation and is both easy to install with minimal maintenance. We ask you to return the goods in their original condition securely wrapped. You must also pay the postage for returning the goods. Tried and tested– Combiphos is a polyphosphate compound specifically developed to provide the most effective limescale prevention in flow-through installations. Polyphophate dosing has been safely used to treat water throughout the world for many years. Apart from the annual replacement of the Combiphos crystals, Combimate requires no other maintenance.There are two installations options when fitting Combimate: whole-house supply or single appliance protection.

Combimate is a user-friendly domestic limescale prevention device that uses Combiphos to deliver guaranteed prevention of limescale and soft water corrosion water control, with no moving parts. Combimate refill balls are added to the water supply in minimal quantities, sufficient to keep mineral ions in suspension. Water Softeners – A water softener is a larger electrical /mechanical device which removes the chemicals in hard water areas which cause scaling: calcium and magnesium carbonate. These devices turn hard water to soft water. Whole-house supply– For this installation Combimate should be plumbed in after the stop-valve on the cold water supply to the premises. The white removable divider tray should be removed from inside the Combimate dome in a whole house installation so that the dome can be completely filled with Combiphos (the full 800g bag contents).This action prevents the formation of scale while retaining the health benefits of the natural minerals contained in hard water. If the Combimate is located in a warm environment (e.g an airing cupboard) or near a heat source, the Combiphos crystals will dissolve at a faster rate. Ideally Combimate should be installed at room temperature with a cold water supply, located at least 450mm from any appliance or local heat source to prevent water in the dome from warming and accelerating the dissolution of the Combiphos.
